Write from the Inside reminds you each month to write what has been going on in your life, gives hints to probe the memories, and also a little story of Lissa's that shows how much feeling can go into a short story. I enjoy reading her stories and remembering when... something happened to me. Great job Lissa.

Lissa Ann Forbes rips her heart out, right from the inside, and offers it as a gift. But it’s not a bleeding heart she offers––rather it’s heart-felt writing that is warm and welcoming and beating beautifully to the rhythm of life. Lissa proves that the “examined life” is indeed a life worth living––and one that is much better understood by oneself and one’s friends. In her ezine, Lissa welcomes you to look at her life and what she’s learned by “writing from the inside,” she invites you to do the same for yourself, and she asks questions and gives clues that will help you do so.

When Liss'a ezine arrives it's like a friend has just rung my doorbell and is arriving for a much welcomed visit.

Her stories are sometimes poignant, sometimes humorous and always straight from the heart.

Subject: Thanks for the memories

I get a lot of "blogs" in my email but when this arrives I read it every time. Lissa's stories always remind me of when something similar happened to me, and they encourage me to write down my own stories for my family to read someday, if they every want to know the real me. Thanks for the memories, Lissa!

Thought-provoking, inspirational, well-written, timely. I only subscribe to a few ezines to spare my poor inbox, but I wouldn't miss this one. I always get in touch with something essential in myself by reading Lissa's genuine and heartfelt stories.

Subject: Ideas with Heart

In my work with memoir writers I've found that we all have the memories, we just can't think of them! Lissa has a fresh idea every newsletter for a powerful or poignant story, one that can inspire everyone. She's not afraid to tell her story either. Her voice has an authenticity that makes you feel she is right next door. Thanks, Lissa, for inspiring us!
